Bonfire Action

Taking photographs of Fireworks is really hard. There's nothing to focus on, you can't keep the camera still enough, you can't select an aperture/film speed that works for everything and that's before you even begin with shutter duration. And then you only do it one day a year, so I cant see me getting too good at this for a decade or so. Out of maybe 70 pictures this was my best:

I'm quite stoked actually because it was the biggest rocket we had, I thought I'd buckle under the pressure but it was quite the opposite.

This was exciting, and hopefully the closest I'll ever get to a mortor attack. It was actually shooting right through the crowd and hitting the neighbours house whilst exploding, it couldn't have been aimed better. I took this before realising just how close to danger I was.

I forget how much I like fire.
