New Bones Ramps....

....well not quite yet, but hopefully with a bit of effort we can get something good made at Bones. It was mentioned a while back that they planned to change the funbox/jumpbox/deathbox part downstairs. They said something about extending the mini-ramp across to a spine near the funbox, but we are hoping to get involved and have the new ramps decided by the people that are actually going to use them. Here are some initial drawings I've done:

The mini-ramp is shown with the transitions cut out to around 7ft (at the moment it's a big valley of a thing at around 9ft). The jumps in the rhythm section are the same width as the current funbox at about 10ft. They should jump the same in either direction and are 4.5ft high with 8ft transitions and 1ft radius rollovers. The top of each jump varies in length between 5ft and 10ft to make the hip.

I've included this view particularly to highlight the mini-ramp transfer possibilities, now if only I was a little virtual man so I could sneak in the computer and try them. Anyway, I'm really interested in what anybody thinks, especially if your sat there thinking "Oooohhh mmmmmyyyyy ggggoooodddd! An 8ft transition with a 1ft rollover; c'mon this's gotta be some kind of joke right?", chances are if you thought that then you obviously know a lot more about this than I do and your likely to be a great source of knowledge. Seriously though, I am very interested in any opinions if you want to leave a comment below.

Great!! - I've got two opposite hips in a row and the into berms at my trails and it's the best feeling, so three should be even better. If the window's were boarded they'd make good wallrides too. - Eric
