DIAL: REVENGE

I've been lost in the depths of revision hell for the past couple of weeks so there hasn't been much in the way of updates. I suppose that reflects in the amount of photographs I've taken too, which is basically bugger all. Hopefully I can make up for it with this video, which is the result of a bit of an experiment I tried out. I wanted to stitch a sequence of photographs together to make a time-lapse movie. This meant I had to set my camera up with my computer and then use software which would take photos at regular intervals. I was limited to 1 picture per second so the movie is about 7 minutes compressed into 15 seconds. I'm sorry the file is so big (5.7mb), but I don't have any means of reducing it at the moment. It shouldn't be much longer than 4 or 5 minutes if you've got broadband, if your doing this with dial-up I'd come back when your hair's gone grey.

By the way, if you managed to sit through waiting for it to download it's Mel driving from my house in Wilmslow down the A34 to around Burnage. It's in B&W because the colour version was 10mb and it was all horrible amber street lights anyway.

I used the Canon digital camera software that came with the camera to take all the photos. Then Adobe Image Ready to stitch the entire folder of photos and save it as a movie.
