"There's no point polishing a Turd!" - that's what Gaz had to say about the mini-ramp after we heard Bones' plan to make it taller rather than tighten up the transitions (as was proposed a few posts back). It's pretty much cheating really- everyone's been saying it needs to be steeper for the past 7 years and the cheapest way they've found to do that is make the ramp the same height as the bowl platform. Now, a 9ft transition on a 6.5ft ramp is certainly more fitting than a 9ft transition on a 5.5ft ramp, but it definitely won't be anyone's idea of mini-ramp heaven. It'll be more time consuming (i.e. expensive) to take the ramp apart and cut the transitions tighter, but they're planning to re-skin the whole thing anyway so maybe I try and fight for it a bit yet; I have to be honest though I'm not very hopeful.
