Gays Only Tour #4

Did we actually ride anytime?

'Frustration'

To me....

.... To you.

Easily amused.

I think it should've just said "Cardiff Bay Opera House" so that I didn't have to search all over the internet trying to find out what building it was.

Cardiff Sunset.

A Nosewheelie on what looked like brand new blocks, Tommy Gore, late night Cardiff session.

Quite a lot of BMXing did actually happen; it just seems that I unknowingly took far more sequences than I did single photos. In fact Tommy's Nosewheelie is about the only BMX photo you'll get here, sequences are on the way though.

Gays Only Tour #3

Kite flying on Whitesands Beach in Pembrokeshire.

Bedminster in Bristol- worth going to just for the graffiti.

If you get a moment just e-mail Will and ask him whose kite that is (Will brought a kite that apparently justified it's own rucksack! Hhhmmm, I don't remember it getting used anytime though).

A fake looking beach- reminds me of 'Stringray' for some reason.

What can I write about a campsite fence?

Deciding the architecture wasn't quite up to his manualing ability, Tommy adds (or rather, doesn't bother removing) a coffee cup to hop over. It's the small things that count.

More Bedminster graffiti and an overly-complex kite owning Giant called William.

Gays Only Tour #2

Lets see if I can shed some light on that name:

Thinking about it now, maybe 'Gays Only' is quite self-explanatory.

Gays Only Tour #1

I'll pass on the name explanation until I figure out why the hell it became the 'Gays Only Tour' in the first place, I'll blame Clarky for now. Here's some Gaz wizardry I put together last night. These steps are at Lloyds in Bristol, I think we could quite easily have stayed there all day, possibly even if it were raining- it really is that good!

Preston Bloody Preston

So as you can see there's been a few changes round here. It's not all finished yet but there's only so many hours in the day, it'll be done soon enough though. The grey and orange was how I originally intended Gain to look; the blue layout was just a standard template that blogger give you to use. It was nice and convenient but not really what I was after, now everything is more photo orientated.

Here's some of my first attempts at using my camera properly; shooting RAW files instead of JPEGs. I wont bore you too much with what that means if you don't know already. But it basically takes shooting digital closer to shooting film. It works by taking the equivalent of a negative that is then processed by the user (me) rather than the camera, at a later stage. Anyway, it'll hopefully make for better pictures.

After all this website redesign I'm not quite up to the South Wales tour post yet. There's probably about 5 posts worth of stuff for that anyway. These pictures are from our recent attempts to ride street in Preston, which promises much but really hasn't delivered yet- out of 2 sessions and about 150 miles driven we've managed less than an hours worth of riding!

This Tommy wall ride is pretty much all that's occurred so far, hopefully we'll get better at reading weather forecasts in future.

God's Wraith? - This wall belongs to a church, minutes after Tommy rode on a church it rained and I got a popped wheel (which would've never happened if Tommy hadn't ridden on that church).

There's more! Not content with riding all over the house of God, Tommy completes a 'Stunt' to 'Run' conversion by immediately 180ing these steps. No wonder he's been in Ride.

And So It Begins....

....Summer that is. I finished my exams on Friday, how good that is really hasn't sunk in though yet. I'm sure it will soon enough; we're (Tommy, Clarky, Gaz, Will and I) off on tour tomorrow! It's only going to be a little tour, its not like we have posters up in skateparks or anything. I think the stops are going to be Pembrokeshire, Cardiff and Bristol, I can't wait.

The sort of nonsense that's been my life for the past 5 weeks. Compared to the sort of nonsense that will be my life for the next 5 weeks:

OK, it doesn't quite work; Gaz doing Hang-5's won't be my life. Maybe I'll be able to do one too in 5 weeks though. My attempt at linking in the last picture didn't work too well so I'm not even going to bother with this one. I think this was probably last summer:

"Now watch this Drive"
